3-D Lego Birthday invite

My son who is a Lego fanatic wants to have a Power Miner's Lego Birthday Party. So even though his birthday is not until August I thought I would get a jump on them, because this summer is so busy I wasn't sure I would have time right before his birthday to put them together.

I used the Pop template that was in July's Stampin' Success Magazine, which is totally simple! My son picked out some images on Lego.com, did a little editing and cropping to get just the right pictures.

Here is the front, I used Tangerine Tango, Basic Black card stock, and I used the word window punch for the "you're invited" that I printed out on my computer.

In order to hold the card closed I used self adhesive magnetic dots that I got at a Teacher Supply Store.

Here you can see the placement of the magnets.

Here is how it looks when start to you open it up. On the inside right panel you will notice that I only used adhesive on the top diagonal so that the picture in side did not have a crease.

In order to keep the right panel open I used the magnets again.

And here is the invite when it is completely open!
